About Us

We are professional plumbers.

Offering a variety of plumbing & heating services we aim to meet the needs of all our customers, new and old. If you need a leaking tap replaced, your gas or oil boiler repaired or if you fancy a complete new bathroom then we have you covered. We are time-served plumbers and we each care equally about our business and workmanship. To that end, we produce great results.

As a group of professional plumbers, we have many areas of expertise. We have installed many gas heating systems. We are efficient at this work and have a vast knowledge of the operation and safety of gas boilers. We are well experienced in oil fired heating systems and fault finding with the average fault taking us no longer than a few minutes to diagnose. However, bathroom remodeling is what we pride ourselves on. We take care of everything. Tiling, electrics, plumbing and joinery.
We wanted to create a website that speaks directly to our potential customers, so we decided to build this website ourselves. Much research and time was dedicated to this website and like all our work, the painstaking process has been and is a labour of love. So we would like to thank you in taking the time to read our descriptions. We hope you like our website and we hope you’ll get in touch and take advantage of the plumbing services we provide.

A protrait of Alexander Cumming. Instrumental in the design of the flushing toilet

Alexander Cumming

You may not have heard of Alexander Cumming but we do have some thanks to give to him. Alexander Cumming was a Scottish watchmaker and inventor. During his life in the 1700’s, the solutions to a lot of problems were still yet to be found. Like the issue of foul sewage smell from toilets. In 1975 Alexander Cumming patented the design of a valve closet with s-trap. This s-trap design eliminated the foul sewage smells and paved the way for the modern flush toilets we have now. Alexander Cumming’s-trap design is still in use today.

The Roman Aqueducts

Although the ancient Romans were not the first to build aqueducts, they were however the first to build them extensively. They improved the the design and created a complex network. Today the remains of aqueducts still stand as testament to Roman engineering ability. Aqueducts had to be well planned. Made up from a series of channels, they carried water from higher ground to populated roman cities. Supplying fresh drinking water and also water for baths and fountains.
